How it works

A shed move, without calling five haulers.

You send the details. We pass that request to one independent hauler. They call you, price the job, and do the work if you hire them. Shed Movers is the introduction, not the crew.

What you do

  1. Measure the floor, not the roof overhang. Width and length are what a driver uses to pick a trailer.
  2. Say whether it stays on the same property or goes to another address, and about how many miles that is. A backyard shift, a trip across town, and a haul to another state are different prices.
  3. Photograph the shed, the way in, and anything overhead. A tight gate or a power line changes the price more than the paint color does.
  4. Empty it if you can. A hauler can sometimes move a shed with light contents, but tools and water still in it are a risk you own.

What the hauler does

The hauler brings the trailer or the shed mule, decides whether the building can move in one piece, pulls permits when the load is over the legal width or height, and sets it down at the new spot. You pay them. Their insurance and their license cover the haul.

What Shed Movers does not do

  • We do not quote a binding price. The number in the form is a planning range from the shed’s size and the miles.
  • We do not take a deposit or the move payment.
  • We do not send our own crew, and we do not build sheds.
  • We do not post your phone number where several haulers can race to call you.

Road moves and permits

Many states treat a load wider than 8 feet 6 inches, or taller than 13 feet 6 inches on the trailer, as an oversize load. The shed on the trailer is what gets measured, and the deck adds height. A 10-foot-wide shed almost always needs a permit once it leaves the yard. The hauler pulls that permit. An on-property move that never touches a public road usually does not. Read the permit overview, then prepare the shed before you send the request.

Start a quote

Shed Movers introduces homeowners to independent haulers. We are not a moving company, a motor carrier, or a shed builder. The hauler quotes the job, does the work, and is paid by you.
